Golf Made Easier

All golfers are searching for improvement on their swing, yet few can do this on their own. To appreciate the swing dynamics, you have to be able to access the data, and there is no better way to do this than by making use of a launch monitor.

Here at DJ’s Indoor Golf we are very proud of the technology available to those visiting our premises. We have both Skytrak® and Flightscope® in our indoor bays and 4K projectors delivering superior graphics.

Our simulators measure the following….

  • Ball Speed – the more the better (the main component of distance)
  • Launch Angle/Vertical – for most of us, around 12⁰ with a driver and 20⁰ with a 7 iron
  • Launch Angle/Horizontal – Ideally 0⁰ (depending on the type of shot). This is a result of the club face (left/right), relative to the target
  • Backspin – 2500 – 3000 rpm w/the driver and 6000 to 7000 rpm with a 7 iron
  • Spin Axis – Below +/- 500 rpm produces a fade or draw. Exceeding +/-1000 becomes a slice or hook. This is an effect of the player’s club path relative to the face angle.

Our indoor, ideal conditions, allows you to make the proper adjustments to your swing and your clubs to maximise performance. With the ability to practice, challenge other players with competitions, develop personal skills assessments, and play numerous golf courses, the SkyTrak ensures you’ll never get bored!

SKYTRAK®

DJ's Indoor Golf
Practice, ChallengE, IMPROVE

In our third bay we have Skytrak®. SkyTrak is a launch monitor that delivers instant and real-time 3D shot analysis and ball-flight data.

Skytrak is a photometric launch monitor, which means it uses super high speed cameras to record images of the impact between club and ball. From these images, Skytrak can accurately calculate the parameters of ball speed, back spin, launch angle, side spin and side angle and then deliver the results via real-time 3D shot analysis and ball-flight data on screen.

With Skytrak you can improve your game with a variety of game improvement features including skills assessment, bag mapping, practice greens, realistic driving range and more. You can also play the world’s most famous courses around the world in the comfort of our surroundings.

SKYTRAK Map My BaG

The Skytrak Bag Mapping feature is one of the great pieces of functionality in the Skytrak software package. As a golfer improves and lowers his or her handicap, it becomes more and more important to know how far you hit each club.

A great many of the poor approach shots hit in a round are due to taking the wrong club. If you could reduce the number of poor club choices you will definitely shave strokes off your handicap. The Skytrak Bag Mapping feature aims to help you do just that.

SkyTrak’s bag mapping allows you to plot your entire golf bag, from wedge to driver. This will help you better understand your yardages and shot tendencies with each club in your bag. You can also collate data on how far you hit your half, three quarter and full shots for each club.

Why is it important?
While on the course, it’s crucial to know your numbers so that you can make the best club selection possible for the shot you have in front of you. Play the video for more information.
